Phazon Mines

In my opinion the hardest area in the game as it is inhabited by a ton of various pirates that each require a certain beam. You can take multiple energy tanks worth of dammage if your not carefull and good at dodging fire. I recommend getting the beam combos as there are various rooms where it will make your life alot eaiser if you have the missles to power them. The phazon mines is also the only place where you'll see the elite and omega pirates which are in short numbers but difficult to take out. An added hazard to the mines is ofcourse the phazon until you get a special suit which is gotten by tracking though the dark lower levels infested by metroids.
