    Stuck!
Okay, I'm in the Snowy Place (Near the Quarentine Area) and the door's power has been shut off. This is where the water level can be elevated. I tried using the wave beam at it, but the thing in front of it blocks it. It says: "This Corondite is rusted and weathered." This is very annoying because...

In an IGN Interview, information has been revealed about the Metroid Prime 3 Weapons System.

There are two main factors in the new weapons system of Metroid Prime 3.

The first is the focus on Missles, Beam, and Power Beam. In this game, Beams will not be switched between but will use a stacking system like Super Metroid in Metroid Fusion.

For example, your beam will be upgrading with abilities like Plasma, Shoot through Walls (Wave), and so forth.

A greater focus on Missles and Grapple Beam has also been announced with upgrades for both. Upgrades have not been specifically mentioned but can vary with the amount of control given by the Wii-mote.

The second change is the Corruption Hyper Mode System. According to the interview, Samus gets corrupted by Phazon (physically). This allows her to enter a Hyper Mode where her vision and weapons change giving her extreme power. This allows Samus to annihilate though she cannot maintain this for long. The time period varies with how the user uses the power. Overabuse of the power can lead to death.

Visors have also been announced including the return of the X-Ray Visor to be used in conjunction with the shoot through walls beam and the Command Visor which allows Samus to control her ship.

Though not yet officially dated, Nintendo has revealed the latest game in the Metroid Prime Saga, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Several details have been revealed about the game in e3.

  • Aiming will be done with the use of the Wii-mote thus deviating from the previous GCN games' use of lock-on action

  • The pin-point action of the Wii-mote will be used to solve puzzles, open doors, and use the Grapple Beam in new ways

  • A mysterious new hunter, presumably Vhozon, has been revealed as a friend to Samus. We see it assisting her with a Space Pirate fleet with freezing blasts as he flies through the air on ice, Iceman style.

  • Ridley has been shown to be a boss fought while dropping through the air

  • The return of Dark Samus has been announced
