The official weapons of Metroid Prime: Hunters:
[Including the amount of damage dealt by each weapon.]

Ordered By:
BattleHammer
A weapon that lobs green energy blasts rapidly. Upon impact, the blasts explode create a small blast radius, the radius can be increased with gravity (making it travel higher). This weapon can cause friendly fire damage.
Affinity User: Weavel
Affinity Bonus: More powerful and a bigger blast radius.

BattleHammer

Battle Hammer- Does not do more damage for a headshot

Battlehammer: 12
Battlehammer-Weavel: 12-18
Battlehammer-Splash: 12

BattleHammer Guide:
[thanks to Supa Smurf]
Don't try to use the Battlehammer when you aren't weavel, it barely has any splash and it's very had to make it accurate.
When you have the Battlehammer with Weavel, the Battlehammer is stronger and has splash damage, making it dangerous in small areas, such as Tunnels, and other enclosed spaces.
Whenever you have the Battlehammer, according to your level of accuracy, you can either hold the fire button, or press it separately for each shot. I advise that you start out pressing the fire button for each shot. When you become confident in your abilities, you should try it with the fire button held down. You don't have to hit the enemy exactly, because the splash damage radius is one of the largest splash.

Recommended Maps:
-Combat Hall:Small hallway, closed areas.
-Sanctorus:Same as above, but smaller with more hallways.
-Council Chamber:Has plenty of small spaces, as well as larger areas for tong range firing.
-Processor Core:Little hallways, and small central hub for fighting.
Bad Arenas:
-Any Gateway:Too large for actual Battlehammer fighting
-Arenas with large open areas

Imperialist
The sniper rifle of the game, the Imperialist fires a beam of red energy. When zoomed, the Imperialist does twice the damage and is now capable of a one hit kill with a headshot. The Imperialist zooms in further if the crosshair is over an enemy, whether they are behind a wall or not, making it like a second radar.
Affinity User: Trace
Affinity Bonus: Trace can turn semi-transparent while standing perfectly still with the Imperialist.

Finding Lag Points:
When facing someone that lags, you may have trouble landing a headshot. It may look to be one on your screen, but on the opponents it may have completely missed altogether, or nailed then elsewhere. In order to find the Lag Point you'll need you experiment by shooting a little to the left, right, and above of your opponents head. Once you have found it, you should remember the general area of the lag point, or else you'll have to find out again.
Imperialist Stats:

Imperalist Unzoomed: 36
Imperalist-Headshot Unzoomed: 100
Imperalist-Zoomed: 72
Imperalist-Headshot-Zoomed: 200/1 hit kill

Magmaul
A launcher that lobs chunks of highly heated magma. The magma chunks remain on the ground for a moment once fired and can be bounced off walls. These chunks are heavy so they fall quickly. The charged version fires a magma blast that explodes into a burst of fire after hitting the ground.

Magmaul

Affinity User: Spire
Affinity Bonus: The charged shot lights people on fire which constantly drains their health for a while.

Lag Mag:
The Lag Mag is a slightly charged Magmaul in lag that appears as a fully charged shot to your opponent. This is very similar to the Lag Missles. On your screen, you will shoot an uncharged looking shot, but on your opponents, they see a charged shot coming right at them. You know that it hit if your opponent starts burning.

Note:This can also set you on fire.

Missiles cannot reload like the Power Beam or Bombs, but they are more powerful than either of the former weapons. When shot, they can
destroy an enemy in one hit, and they can take out two or more enemies if shot accurately.

Lag Missles:
When using Samus, while in a game with lag, you don't need to hold the charge button for as long as you usually would. The Lag takes care of that. You may not see it seek on your screen, but chances are, it will hit the enemy on their screen. This is a great way to dominate in lag.

Note:When shooting towards multiple enemies with Lag Missles, you don't know who you are killing.

Omega Cannon
A weapon only available in Oubliette or when versing Gorea 2. This weapon only has one unit of ammo and fires a slow moving blast. Upon hitting, it explodes in a burst of light that will destroy anything near it. The only way to avoid it is to be on a different floor or in distant cover. The Omega Cannon will instantly kill anyone it hits and can cause self-destruction.

The Omega Cannon weapon icon.

Omega Cannon Stats:

200 Damage/ 1 hit kill

Omega Cannon Strategies:

1.Attack from above, Like at the top, climb up the spires by running and jumping up them, when an unsuspecting enemy gets there and waits for the Omega Cannon, shoot it down and get away from there immediately.
2.Wait at the spot where the last jump pad takes you, and walk backward a few steps, and when an enemy jumps up, blast it toward them, and move quickly to the left.
3.Wait near the spot in #2, but be slightly on the blue where it slopes, but you can still see the small spot of walkway. Watch your radar, and when an enemy gets within range, shoot it and walk backwards.
4.Stand right where the last jump pad takes you, and look at the ceiling at a 45 degree angle and watch your radar, when your enemy gets in range, shoot it and walk backwards until you fall.
5.Go to the spot where the last jump pad takes you, and aim towards the walkway below and infront of you at a 45 degree angle , and when an enemy jumps up at the lower pad, shoot and walk backwards.

Omega Cannon Splash Avoidance:

Everybody knows that if you are behind a wall you are safe, but there are other ways to avoid it.

With Trace: Go into Triskelon and go invisible, you are now invulnerable to the splash. You can also lunge to a higher level on the top.

Noxus: If you switch into Vhoscythe at about the time that the Omega Cannon youmay become invulnerable. There is a set point in mid-transfer in which you are safe.

Weavel: Your turret is immune to the blast, unless it is exactly hit. The top isn't though.

Other Hunters don't have these abilities, so you will need to exploit these strategies.

Power Beam Basic Weapon
The basic weapon of every hunter, the power beam fires straightforward bullets of energy. This beam can be charged to fire a more powerful shot, also having infinite ammo.

Power Beam

Power Beam Guide:

I. Weapon- Powerbeam

A. What is it?

1. The Powerbeam is a handy weapon that shoots small bursts of energy. It has unlimited ammo which is a plus.

B. Damage Ratios

1. Non Headshot
a. Uncharged- 6
b. Charged- 36

2. Headshot
a. Uncharged- 8
b. Charged- 48.

B. What do I need to know to be successful with it?

1. Learn jumping patterns
2. Only use the charge shots to deal more damage

C. So, how do I use it?

1. It shoots the same as any other weapon, press the fire button to shoot, hold it to charge.
2. Try to always aim for the enemies head (Especially while charging). It will finish them off quickly.

D. When do I use it?

1. The powerbeam is often looked at as a last resort when you run out of ammo for all of your other weapons. However, if you have precise aim, it comes in handy in any close range battle.

E. How can I train with it?

1. To practice aim, try using non affanity missles and look for jumping patterns. Your pb aim should get good when you can predict your enimie's movement.

Shock Coil
A moderate range gun that fires high density neutrinos. The Shock Coil reaches a far distance and drains an enemy's health. The longer the Coil stays connected, the faster it will do damage. The Shock Coil has a degree of homing in that it will curve towards enemies unless they move quickly or jump breaking the connection.

Affinity User: Sylux
Affinity Bonus: Heals Sylux in proportion to damage done

Shock Coil

Ever wondered about the coil? How do you use? What are it's affects? Why should I use Sylux while using it? How is it more effective? These questions are answered! The Shock Coil is a powerful weapon and used correctly can be your best tool. The Shock Coil locks onto a target. The catch is you still have to keep it in balance to make it stay locked to your opponent. Once locked onto an opponent it does much more damage so you should try to keep the lock. The reason to use Shock Coil with Sylux is because it replenishes his health. Some may call this cheap such as I. So I suggest focusing on Non-Sylux Shock Coil. A good character to use for Non-Sylux Shock Coil would be Spire because of the technique known as the Spire Suicide Rush [Credit to Omega Hunter 24]. It's where you set an opponent on fire with the Magmaul and then start Shock Coiling. With the charged Magmaul power plus the burning plus the Shock Coiling, it is very deadly. However the reason it is called the "Suicide Rush" is because either he snipes you, or brings you to low health and when he responds he kills you.

Volt Driver
A more powerful version of the power beam that fires electric bursts by converting a planetary magnetic field into kilowatts. The charged version fires a big but slow moving electric charge.
Affinity User: Kanden
Affinity Bonus: The Volt Driver homes and causes temporary screen distortion.

Volt Driver

Volt Driver Damage:

Volt Driver Body Shot: 14
Volt Driver-Headshot: 21
Volt Driver-Charged Shot: 56
Volt Driver-Charged-Splash: 1-56

Volt Driver Guide brought to you by C drone.

Feels tingly

The volt driver is known to be best equipped with the character Kanden, Kanden is a slow but powerful hunter using his powerful weapon strength he can deal more then enough damage to finish his opponents quickly, what he lacks in speed he makes up for in weapon speed and weapon damage, when charged the volt driver can do a great deal of damage as well as adding distortion to the victims visor, This gun can be used is a wide range of ways, if used correctly and accurately this weapon can dominate a match, right so anyway apart from the introduction lets move on to some tips and tricks.

The false retreat

This tactic is not for killing purposes but more for safety and buying some time, this tactic involves great accuracy and planned shooting, try to aim for his head zone, this will cause a great damage rate if hit over and over, make sure to fire fast, you don't always need to be shooting at him though, try shooting around him to force him backwards, try to influence confusion and fear into him, i call it multi shooting, this can buy you some space to make some of your own tactics and decisions, if he doesn't take the hint and comes closer simply go to alt and unleash hell using the Stinglava, the homing stingers that come from the rear of the Stinglava home on on close opponents and deal a fair amount of damage, eventually the enemy will have no choice to either run, or simply die, once he has run (this is where you make your decision) you can choose to pursue him or leave to plan your next attack, From my experience anything bellow 40 hp i would go for health and plan an attack, however anything more and i would pursue after the enemy.

CQB

Now, when using the volt driver on tight levels you must remember that a charged shot can harm you of your to close, so be aware when using a charged shot, i suggest being at a medium range when using the charged shot, this makes it harder to dodge and easier to hit, if you are hit by your own charged shot, expect to have a distorted visor as well as less health, sometimes its better to use short bursts between a few missile shots, almost like boxing you his light with the volt driver then hit harder with a missile to the face.

Ranged

The volt driver is almost useless at long range, however not all is lost, when firing at range you should fire at where your enemy is going to be rather then where he currently is, this means your enemy will run into your shots doing half the work for you, this takes skill in accuracy a judgment of distance to range, the further the enemy the further in front you have to shoot, i don't advise using a charged shot unless your enemy has engaged combat with another hunter, in which case you can surprise him with a nasty yellow ball, however the charged shot is still very slow which makes things difficult and hard for a direct hit.
