BOSSES

Ordered By:
Cretaphid
This tower like creature is an Octolith Guardian. It comes in four versions, each more powerful than the last.

The most basic version produces rotating lasers and homing bursts that can be destroyed for items. As the versions advance, lasers become faster, blasts more frequent, and attacks are added. In addition, they will begin to move instead of simply sitting in the middle.

The Cretaphid can be damaged by destroying all of the blue marks on the Cretaphid. At higher levels, the marks switch color rapidly making them harder to hit. The Magmaul excels at destroying the marks and revealing the crystal core which appears above the Cretaphid. The easiest weapon to hit the crystal with is the Shock Coil.

Gorea
When you get all the Octoliths, you go to the Alimbic Cannon and launch into the newly unlocked Oubliette, an oddly shaped planet with an aura around it. Gorea, the previously hidden destroyer of the Alimbic race is encased inside this planet. After going through the several passages, you will find Gorea, who is shaped like a centaur, but only with three legs. he has every weapon, and their respective affinity's as well. you can weaken him by attacking the circles on his shoulders. Only certain weapons will hurt him depending on which stage he is in. Imperialist can only harm Gorea when it is using Shock Coil. Shock Coil can only harm Gorea when it is using Imperialist. Volt Driver can only harm Gorea when it is using Battle Hammer. Battle Hammer can only harm Gorea when it is using Volt Driver.Magmaul can only harm Gorea when it is using Judicator. Judicator can only harm Gorea when it is using Magmaul.. After that, equip the Imperialist, and snipe his arms off. If you do this correctly, then he should flip over, and a yellow orb should float out of his stomach area. You will need to attack the orb with the weapon you used to take his arms off. Be warned, a spaghetti-like arm will come out of the orb and will attempt to grab you. You will need to run and attack at the same time. Like the other Bosses, there is a shockwave-like reaction when you get them down to a certain point. After that continue to defeat him the same way as you did before.

To get to Gorea V.2, you must, before the fight, hit the triangular targets in a specific order. The order is:
1. Yellow: Volt Driver
2. Green: Battlehammer
3. Orange: Magmaul
4. Blue: Shock Coil
5. Violet: Judicator
6. Red: Imperialist

After you have done that, you will get a telepathic connection telling that a spectral sequence has been activated, and then, you should continue to fight Gorea and kill him. Then, the good ending wil commence, and you will be transported to the Stage Oubliette. This time, Gorea is a flying beast, and in order to kill him, you must go towards the bottom of Oubliette, and obtain the Omega Cannon, which is the only weapon left that can hurt Gorea. Gorea can teleport in this form, and shoots homing flaming rocks, that can go through walls. The Omega Cannon in single-player is faster and smaller than the Omega Cannon in Multi-Player.It also doesn't disappear after use. You kill Gorea by shooting the Cannon at him several times , then, the good ending will finish with a cut-scene of Gorea and Oubliette exploding and Samus's Ship and the other Bounty Hunter's ships escaping just in time.

Guardians
These biped machines come in numbers are like inferior hunters. They typically use the power beam but some are outfitted with the Volt Driver or Judicator. They also pack the affinity power of these weapons. These guardians can be annoying and you'll face several when escaping after getting an Octolith. They are often placed where you'd fight hunters.

Hunter Battle: Kanden
A simple fight in the Data Shrine with Kanden. This is a straightforward fight but you lack weapons. He has his Volt Driver so dodge his homing shots and peg him with missles while he is in his biped form. If he tries the Stinglarva, get in to the center and use your power beam. This battle is tedious but it won't be too difficult.

Hunter Battle: Noxus/Trace
This battle is a bit difficult. While you and Noxus fight on the ground, Trace will try to pick you two off with the Imperialist. You can try and defeat Trace but you can end the fight just by beating Noxus. Noxus will try to freeze and probably will have some success with it. Keep some fair distance and stay out of sniping range so you can't be hit. You might have the BattleHammer if you ventured to VDO and the Volt Driver if you took the Hammer back to the archives but if not, just hammer away with the power beam.

Hunter Battle: Spire
Spire isn't difficult, the problem is fighting him in such a large area. You'll need to rely on your radar a lot to keep tabs on Spire so you can find and hurt him. Don't get into too close quarters as he does have the Magmaul. He is a big guy so hitting him won't be hard.

Hunter Battle: Sylux
Sylux is the most difficult hunter to fight, I'd recommend using the Magmaul for the fight. Sylux fights you in a ring area. He uses the Shock Coil and drain your health so you have to constantly keep moving, doing damage, and avoiding getting Coiled. The Magmaul is good because it shakes him up and hurts. Launch the blasts as best you can. He will use the LockJaw but he's not entirely proficient at it. If he does, hit that with the Magmaul as well.

Once he gets weak, the center area will open and he will move their. Sylux will then call his ship which will start shooting missles at you. So now you are dodging Sylux, the Shock Coil, and an aerial missle barrage. Luckly there are some boxes for you to refuel on so use them. Continue hitting Sylux, switch to a different weapon since this area is big and the Magmaul won't help much. The Power Beam or Volt Driver will do fine but keep distance so he can't Shock Coil you.

Hunter Battle: Trace
Since you are trying to get back to your ship, this battle is timed. Fortunately, you now have the Judicator. If Trace is sniping, launch a charged reflective burst of shots at him, they will stop the sniping. He will also try the Triskelion which the Judicator can also stop. If you can, get up close and hit him with the Triple Shot, it will hurt him badly. Time is of the essence so get Trace out of your way as fast as possible.

Hunter Battle: Weavel
You fight Weavel in a small room so just hit him with whatever you have. You can easily abuse the Morph Ball in this small area until the point where he runs. Follow him into the next room and continue the fight. He won't have much left so power beam or Morph Ball him until he goes down. If he uses the Half-Turret focus on his upper half as that will kill him faster.

Slench
A large eye like monster encased in a shell, the Slench is the second Octolith Guardian and also comes in four versions. Each Slench is vulnerable to a specific weapon which you must test to discover. Upon finding the weapon, you must break its three links to the wall thus loosening the Slench and revealing its eye which you must then attack.

At higher versions, the eye will move, thrust at you, and roll around the ground. The best way to dodge is with the Morph Ball. Hitting the Slench can be difficult as it will move faster to dodge shots.
